Temple and Family History Initiative

"Every Member, Every Month"

The Goal:

To be anxiously engaged in Temple and Family History work on a regular basis. Seeking out our ancestors, learning about them, sharing that knowledge with others, and taking their names to the Temple, so that we may live according to the principals of salvation, and receive the promised blessings of the Lord.

"And now, my dearly beloved brethren and sisters, let me assure you that these are principles in relation to the dead and the living that cannot be lightly passed over, as pertaining to our salvation. For their salvation is necessary and essential to our salvation, as Paul says concerning the fathers—that they without us cannot be made perfect—neither can we without our dead be made perfect." - D&C 128:15

The Initiative:

Every day, for at least 30 days, perform one, or more tasks related to family history. Every month, attend the temple with a family file and complete the ordinances needed for that person. Every day, share your experiences on social media using the hashtag #TNfamilyhistory to inspire others, document your progress, and to create a legacy for those that follow. Every month, keep it going and develop the tradition of having the temple, and family history, a part of your daily life!
